What does an Oil Boiler Service cost?

Our OFTEC Oil Boiler Service costs £110 + VAT.

Do oil boilers need servicing?

If an oil boiler isn’t serviced regularly, long term damage can occur due to a build-up of residue on the baffles which are an internal part of an oil boiler (baffles are designed to support tube bundles, increase maximum efficiency and direct the flow of fluids through the boiler).

During the oil boiler combustion process the baffles will become clogged as deposits build up on the internal surfaces of the boiler – these can then decrease boiler efficiency. If this is left for years it can sometimes be impossible to remove the baffles without destroying them. Replacement baffles can be costly, therefore regularly servicing your boiler can save you money in the long run.

If your boiler is not serviced annually, it is at higher risk of breaking down and costing you more money.

When servicing your oil boiler our oil heating engineers will also have be able to check for any parts of the boiler which may need replacing. An early warning of boiler parts wearing gives you the chance to replace them early and avoid costly boiler breakdowns – or worse – for example, a boiler replacement at short notice when a heat exchanger unexpectedly fails.

The boiler service will take about 40 minutes.
